About this flight

Fly the MB-326 in Its Country of Origin

Step into the cockpit of the Aermacchi MB-326, an Italian-designed fighter jet with a long history in military aviation.

This experience offers a rare opportunity to fly a jet that has been used for training and light attack missions in multiple air forces around the world. Based in Reggio Emilia, Italy, the MB-326 is available year-round.

The MB-326’s sleek and agile design makes it a favourite among aviation enthusiasts. It was the predecessor of the MB-339, famously flown by Italy’s Frecce Tricolori aerobatic team. For those looking for an alternative, the L-39 Albatros provides a raised back seat for a wider field of vision, while the Jet Provost features a side-by-side seating arrangement for an immersive cockpit experience. If you’re unsure which aircraft suits you best, we’re happy to provide guidance.

A Classic Italian Jet with a Rich History

‍Designed as a military jet trainer, the MB-326 has a reputation for reliability and performance. Over 800 units were produced and exported to more than 10 countries, including Australia and the United States. It was also used by the Royal Australian Air Force, the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School, and NASA.

During its operational years, the MB-326 proved its capabilities in challenging environments. South African pilots flew these jets at low altitudes of around 15 meters (50 feet) to evade radar detection. One even returned from a mission with an unexploded missile in its exhaust, highlighting its durability.

For safety reasons, a height limit of 1.90m (6’2) applies. If you are close to this limit, please contact us before booking.
